well.. i do not encourage programming using Java during contests. Java is great for developing software applications with lots of classes, but it is too slow compared to C/C++. Programming during contests is, among other things, about the running time of the program. I do not think someone should be favoured with a larger time limit just because it uses Java, when C/C++ is always an option.

i disagree with setting a larger time limit for Java programs.
